On 31st May 2026, First Bank Gambia successfully conducted a virtual training program on “Managing People for Strategic Advantage” via Microsoft Teams. The session, facilitated by Dr. Habila Amos, brought together over sixteen participants from various units of the organization.
The training focused on equipping participants with practical knowledge and strategies for effective people management, leadership development, talent retention, succession planning, and performance management. Participants gained valuable insights into how organizations can leverage their workforce capabilities to achieve sustainable competitive advantage and long-term success.
A key highlight of the session was the emphasis on leadership culture, continuous employee development, and the importance of proactive succession planning. Discussions also covered modern performance management approaches, coaching techniques, and effective ways to address underperformance while maintaining fairness and accountability.
