Habila M. Amos, PhD, HRPL, FCIPM, FITD, FCIA, FICA, FIMC, FIARSA, FCILG, HCIB

Dr. Amos is a licensed Human Resource (HR) Practitioner of repute and Managing Partner / Chief Executive Officer of Deft Professional Services Limited (DPSL), a HR Consulting firm that delivers bespoke professional services in HR and other related areas to clients all over the globe.

He is the immediate past Director of Human Resources and Administration, National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), Abuja, the regulator of all Insurance Businesses in Nigeria, having retired recently after over eight years in that position.

Dr. Amos is a Seasoned and Certified Human Resource Professional and Trainer. He graduated with a Second-Class Upper Degree (2.1) in Public Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he was the best graduating student in the Faculty of Administration in July, 1986. 

He obtained his Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Lagos in July, 1992. In June 2015, he earned a Doctorate Degree in Humanities from the Victoria Global University, Turks and Caicos, United Kingdom. He has also recently earned a Doctorate Degree in Public Administration from the University of Abuja, Nigeria in 2023.

Dr. Amos has had, till date, over 36 years’ hands-on experience in Human Resource Management and Leadership in five (5) Sectors of the Nigerian economy: Public, Manufacturing, Banking, Commercial and Professional Services. He has, amongst others, worked as a Human Resource Manager at Nigerian Bottling Company (Coca-Cola), three Banks and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria CIBN). He was the Assistant General Manager and Group Head responsible for Human Resources Management in the Intercontinental Bank Group comprising of over 360 branches in Nigeria and 3 in foreign countries with a total employee population in excess of 15, 000. 

After the merger with Access Bank in 2010, Dr Amos was Assistant Director, and Group Head, Learning & Development in the Access Bank Group, a position he held until he resigned from the services of the Bank in September 2012. He possesses deep skills in Leadership, People Management, Training Need Identification, Design and delivery of Training Interventions as well as evaluation of impact of training on the performance and productivity of the participants.

He is a serial award winner at work, garnering several commendations and recognitions for performance and productivity one of which was when he led his team to win the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) most outstanding Learning & Development Team Award for the year 2009.

Dr. Amos has attended several training courses at home and abroad and is an alumnus of the prestigious Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, USA where he successfully attended the Advanced Human Resource Executive Programme (AHREP), the premier human resource training programme in the world in December 2007.

His professional certifications include: Fellow, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (FCIPM); Fellow, Chartered Institute of Administration (FCIA); Fellow, Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (FITD); Fellow, Institute of Credit Administration (FICA); Fellow, Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC, CMC); Fellow, International Association of Research Scholars and Administrators (FIARSA); Fellow, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (HCIB); Fellow, Chartered Institute of Leadership and Corporate Governance (FCILG), as well as Associate, Nigeria Institute of Management (ANIM).
Dr. Amos, who loves reading, thinking and travelling, is married with children.

Terna Segher, B.A. Hons, ACIPM, AMNIM

Mr Segher is an accomplished Human Resource Practitioner and Partner at Deft Professional Services Limited, Abuja. Mr. Segher has over 30 years post graduate experience managing HR programs in international and local organizations including Senior HR Officer (Head), Family Health International Nigeria at inception of FHI Nigeria from 2004 to 2007, HR Administrator (Head), US Government’s Education for Development and Democracy Initiative Community Resource Center Project in Nigeria in 2003 to 2004.

He has occupied several roles, such as: Country Human Resources Manager Asea Brown Boveri Nigeria (ABBNG) 2009 -2010; Personnel and Administration Manager, West Africa Milk Company (Nig) Plc (Friesland Dairy Foods of Holland) – Integrated Dairy Farm Division, 1993 – 2001; Head of HR, Suburban Telecommunication West Africa (Nig) Ltd) 2008; HR Manager, Consolidated Breweries (Nig) Plc Nigeria.

He obtained a B.A. Degree in Public Administration from Ahmadu Bello University in 1986 and is pursuing an MBA degree in Human Resources Management. He is Associate, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (ACIPM), Associate, Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM).

 

Tunji Yusuf, B.A. (Hons), M.Ed., MCIPM, MNITAD, MNIM

Tunji YUSUF is a resourceful Trainer, Facilitator and Consultant with 41 years experience in   Education, Broadcasting, core Human Resources (HR) and Consulting.
He has led the design and delivery of training and development initiatives across industries and   disciplines including customer service,   communications, sales, management and human resources.

Tunji has consulted extensively in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors of the Nigerian Economy. He has had tenures in Seven Up Bottling Company Plc and Nigerian Bottling Company Plc in the early phase of his career.

He holds a Second Class Upper (Honours) and Masters degrees from the University of Ibadan.

Tunji has  deep knowledge and expertise of strategy formulation, business process design and change management: developed as Counterpart Staff on Seven Up Bottling Company’s (SBC) Enterprise Transformation Programme handled by Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and honed through other roles played within the Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Ship Repairs/ Building, Offshore Construction, Transportation, and Aviation as well as the Public Sector of the Nigerian Economy.

 Sonny Osawota, B.Sc., MBA, (Leicester, UK), CIPD

Sonny Osawota is an accomplished, engaging and much sought-after leadership and business communication Coach, Consultant and Facilitator. He has consulted and facilitated programmes on leadership, strategy and organizational effectiveness, amongst others, for leading organizations in diverse industries as oil and gas, telecommunications, banking, insurance, manufacturing and others in Nigeria. In the process he has left a legacy of better strategic alignment, a stronger focus on business priorities, a more performance-driven culture and managers who are better able to make the transition to strategic leadership. His background includes tenures at MTN Nigeria and Xerox.

Sonny has had three and a half decades of facilitating group learning sessions and during this time Sonny has learnt a lot about team dynamics, group emotional intelligence and how to aid the process of building high performance teams and organizations. He has done extensive work in the area of Leadership and Strategy training and Management Development; thousands of managers and others in supervisory and leadership roles have been impacted by his learning interventions.

He possesses considerable experience in facilitating Sessions with organizations for the purpose of reviewing Mission and Vision statements, framing business strategy, driving strategic alignment, and developing performance measures to aid evaluation. He has had a multi-industry exposure as his work (first as a practitioner, and then a consultant) has taken him through some of the most critical sectors of the Nigerian economy.

Sonny’s key skills and abilities include superb facilitation skills drawn from extensive experience and a deep understanding of group dynamics that help individuals and groups to learn and collaborate to achieve performance goals. He has excellent consulting and business communication skills, a demonstrable record in collaborating and partnering with clients and business allies, emotional intelligence and ability to get results with individuals and groups by deploying appropriate personal mastery and social skills

Mr Osawota is the Managing Consultant of SoftBridge Associates, a leadership development organization that he founded. He is the author of several best-sellers including Leadership as Dialogue, Passion for Perfection, Breakthrough Performance, Values-Driven Leadership and Results Orientation amongst others.
He is a Partner in Deft Professional Services Limited.
